Something to think about in recovery.

Celebrate Recovery must be a safe, sacred, honored place held with high integrity at all times.
If we speak about someone outside and do not share with that person this is GOSSIP!!!!
GOSSIP is when you tear someone else down to build your-self up.

It no longer matters what others say or think about me. the only thing that does matter is what I think and feel about me. AMEN!!!

When you have a day where you do not feel loved, remember that their are people who love you simply for who you are.

When we are afraid to be vulnerable we either act out by becomeing controling and indepedent OR we internalize and become fearful and resentful.
Both are considered acting out because we are activly refuseing to be vulnerable.

Routine brings security by accomplishing the small things.
The more time you have the less you will do or get done.

DEPRESSION IS TRIGGERED WHEN AN EVENT HAPPENS, WE PANIC,
MAKE A FEEBLE ATTEMPT TO FIX IT, AND GIVE UP.
THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF DEPRESSION
1. SITUATIONAL DEPRESSION ---THIS TRIGGERED BY AN EVENT THAT IS VERY EASY TO POINT TO AND IS TEMPORARY AND OR TRANSITORY. YOU FEEL DRAINED AND YET CAN FUNCTION AND SOON OVERCOME IT.

2. CLINICAL DEPRESSION --------THIS IS TRIGGERED BY AN EVENT THAT IS SOMETIMES KNOWN OR NOT & MAY BE ACCUMULATIVE EVENTS THAT SAPS YOUR ENERGY.
THIS IS LONG LASTING AS WELL. YOU BELEIVE YOU CAN'T MOVE FORWARD TO GET OVER IT. THIS MAY REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTETION AND / OR MEDICATION TO HELP YOU TO OVERCOME.

Accomplishment is the best way to fight off depression.
Set small goals and see them through to their completion.
Most of us have or will have had citualtional depression.
Let us be aware of our thoughts always and stay focused on them with God.
