POWER--- POWER OR WEAKNESS?

When you lose your power you then rely on something or someone to give it to you.
The reason you have people who drain you in your life is because you have given your power away to them.
When your worth is counted or connected to the external you will always be unfulfilled and
co-dependent.
If you are always apologizing for your worth, your wealth will never increase to it's fullest in Christ.

As a healing co-dependent I see this as one of the greatest challenges.
Boundaries and Power in Christ will lead to balance.
May God help us both to reach that goal.

Usury

There are people who drain me of my power; who use me up; who sap my strength, draw off my resources, exhaust my power, and consume my very consequence.

They come with their hand outstretched; yet they reach into my heart only to tap my strength, to deplete my treasure, & pump out my life’s own energy.

Relentlessly they ground my power, kill my clout, weaken my worth, and bleed out my remaining potency, withdrawing all at will from my cherished stores.

Oh how my worth withers under their cold inspection.

Oh how my significance hemorrhages under their careless blade.

Yet I beg, and beg again: please, oh please, may I but die in your blessed shadow or under your sacred feet …

For if I have no one… I am nothing.
