Job 25 and 26
This is what I knew was coming. More bla bla bla from 25 yet in 26 job talks about powerlessness. In the recovery bible at the bottom this what it says about powerlessness.
It is difficult for us to admit our powerlessness. We spend years building the illusion that we are in control, only to face eventsthat make it clear we have no control at all. This is the first step in any recovery from a dependency or compulsion. Job was powerless over his situation. We, too, are powerless over our dependency and the circumstances that fuel it. But when we call on God for help, we willfind he is merciful and willing to help us.
One other thing I noticed looking back for a sec at chapter 23 was Job admitted looking in every direction he knew at that time to look N S E W and no sign of god. Being as low as he was I wonder if he ever thought to look U? UP I have been so low I can't look anywhere but up. Spending 18 months in a hospital bed you have little time to look elsewhere.
So my dear brothers when you are down what direction are you looking???
HMMMMMMMM
Jim.

"Will he always call upon God?"—Job 27:10.
yes, my powerlessness confronts me when i am down & out. That is when i will surely call out in desperation.
But when i am in my own power, my personal strength... do i look to him then or do i pretend & cover my own chosen tracks with false piety??
when my own desire is with in my grasp, do i seek him then?? do i wait upon his leading?? or do i just grab?? Oh, how easily I will slip my plans into that space he has reserved, and parking them there, walk away as if i deserve this exalted place, how easily i turn our back.
LORD, MY I CALL UPON YOU I ALL I DO. SW
